Exciting news! Wheatland Farm is growing!

Press Release 9/9/2024

The Faith and Family Foundation at Wheatland Farm is excited to announce that, due to the rapid growth of our therapeutic riding, para-dressage, and equestrian programs, we are now searching for a larger campus to expand our offerings! This exciting opportunity will allow us to welcome more students, accommodate additional horses, host larger horse shows, and provide even more programming for our growing community.

The Faith and Family Foundation, the non-profit that proudly operates Wheatland Farm, is working to find the perfect new location in Loudoun County—within a reasonable distance from our current facility. To make this expansion possible, the Wheatland Farm campus will soon be listed for sale, and we are looking forward to finding a new steward for this beautiful property. In the meantime, operations at Wheatland Farm will continue as usual, with no interruptions to our lesson schedule or activities.

Once a new location is secured, we anticipate only a brief transition period for relocating our horses and staff before resuming lessons on our regular schedule. All families, volunteers, and supporters will be notified and invited to preview this exciting new venture when the time comes! This fall promises to be a busy and exciting season at Wheatland Farm. We’re looking forward to welcoming our 2024 Paralympic Gold Medal Team-Winning Head Coach, Michel Assouline, for a symposium in October, horse shows, clinics, and much more!

Stay tuned for updates on our website, Facebook, and Instagram as we continue our mission of providing life-changing equine experiences in an inclusive, family-centric, welcoming environment.

Do you have questions? We have answers!

1. Why is Wheatland Farm moving?

We are excited to announce that Wheatland Farm is growing! Due to the increasing demand for our therapeutic riding, para dressage, and equestrian programs, we are searching for a larger facility that will allow us to expand our offerings, accommodate more horses and riders, and host additional events and shows.

2. Will lessons and programs be disrupted during the transition?

No! All operations will continue as normal at Wheatland Farm while we search for a new location. Once we secure a new facility, there will be a brief transition period (about two weeks) for relocating horses and staff. Lessons and programs will resume immediately after, with minimal disruption to our schedule.

3. How long will it take to find and move to a new facility?

The timeline depends on finding the right property in Loudoun County that meets the needs of our growing programs. We are actively searching and will keep everyone updated. Rest assured, we are working to make the transition as smooth and efficient as possible.

4. What happens to the current Wheatland Farm campus?

The current Wheatland Farm property will be listed for sale, and we are looking for a new steward to take over this beautiful facility. It’s an important part of our history, and we hope the new owner will continue to cherish it.

5. Will there be changes in programming or pricing?

No. All programming, lessons, and pricing will remain the same, and our commitment to offering high-quality equestrian experiences in an inclusive environment will not change.

6. How will we be notified about the move and transition?

We will keep our families, volunteers, and supporters informed every step of the way through email, social media (Facebook and Instagram), and our website. Once we’ve secured a new facility, we will also host a preview event to introduce the community to our new home!

7. How far away will the new facility be from the current Wheatland Farm?

We are looking for a new property within a short distance of our current location in Loudoun County to make the transition as seamless as possible for our riders and families.

8. Can we still visit and use Wheatland Farm until the move?

Absolutely! Until the transition happens, it’s business as usual at Wheatland Farm. Our lessons, clinics, and events will continue as scheduled, including the upcoming gala on October 5, and symposium with Gold Medal Team Head Coach Michel Assouline on October 19-21, as well as our lessons, in-house schooling shows, and public jumper shows.

9. How can we stay updated on Wheatland Farm’s expansion and news?

For the latest updates, please visit our website and "News" section, follow us on Facebook and Instagram, and stay tuned for emails and announcements. We will make sure you’re informed about all upcoming events and any important changes.

10. Who can we contact if we have more questions?
