Happy St. Patrick's Day from Wheatland Farm! 🍀

Although the day was blustery and cold, in true Irish style, Wheatland Farm para dressage coach and instructor Anthony Forrest led students out into the hunt field with the Middleburg Hunt. We captured some iconic moments from their outing, with a beautiful photo capturing an image of a cross in the background as Anthony and his riders look on.

Our lesson program is now two-thirds of the way through Quarter 3 of the riding lesson year, and we are thrilled with the progress our students are making. Many have advanced to leasing their own horses and ponies at Wheatland Farm—an exciting milestone for those who have spent years overcoming challenges and growing in independence. Congratulations to Ju Leigh, Margaret, Susan, and Maureen, who have now graduated to leasing the lesson horses and ponies they have loved and ridden for a long time.

Even though severe winter weather disrupted our student schooling dressage show schedule, , we’ll be back to hosting them in Quarter 4. Keep an eye out for those dates as we announce them. We look forward to hitting the trails with spring on the horizon! We’re also excited to welcome two wonderful new horses, Annie and Stella, and two fantastic new team members, Miss Kristin and Miss Catherine.

Another exciting event coming up is our Para Dressage Rider Symposium and Clinic with Michel Assouline on April 26 & 27 at the farm. For our golfers, we are also thrilled to announce that registration is now open for our 2025 Johnny Forrest Golf Tournament on June 9th at Raspberry Falls in Leesburg!
