~Leesburg, VA: It has been an exciting start to the season for our Wheatland Farm show team! March 20 saw two of our Para Dressage team riders, Adalie Tuman (George) and Mackenzie Brown (Chip), step out in style to compete at VADA/NOVA's first schooling show of the season at Morven Park. Scoring an impressive 72% and higher apiece, Adalie and Mackenzie took home the wins and won the highest scores overall for the show. Excellent work to start! March 22, Anthony Forrest and Ashby -- our developing event horse--scored an impressive win at the Maryland Horse Trials at Loch Moy Farm, achieving a 26% in their dressage phase, finishing with flawless show jumping and cross country rounds. Ashby is a horse with great potential for the future, and we are excited to see him make this successful debut. Once again, April 10 & 11 saw the entire group at Morven Park Equestrian Center for VADA/NOVA's Spring Dressage (USEF recognized) show. Mackenzie Brown (Chip) won her Para Dressage Grade III FEI Novice test with a convincing 70% round from a highly acclaimed Para Dressage judge; Adalie Tuman (George) was a close second with 67.9% also in the Grade III FEI Novice. Anthony won his Prix St George division both Saturday and Sunday, this time riding our own Demitasse RRS. It was Demi's first time out at the level, and we could not be more thrilled with this talented, hard-working, and big-hearted little mare. All in all, with multiple wins already under their belts, the Wheatland Farm show team looks forward to a fantastic season ahead!
