Upcoming Events You Don't Want to Miss - Dressage Show, Jumper Show, and More!

We find ourselves more than halfway through January, and Wheatland Farm's calendar is brimming with exciting events. January 24th, we are pleased to host Dressage Coach Dilly Jackson for a Dressage and Para-Dressage Fix A Test. Participants, including Wheatland students, instructors, and local riders, will navigate through their dressage tests, receiving scores and benefiting from personalized coaching by the judge to enhance any areas requiring improvement. This event offers a valuable learning experience for riders and observers, complemented by lots of coffee, hot chocolate, and snacks! The clinic commences at 9:45 am and concludes at 4:45 pm.

On Thursday, January 25th, I will journey to Wellington, Florida, to attend the Global Dressage Festival's January CPEDI—an esteemed international para-dressage competition serving as a crucial preparation for the US Para-Dressage Team ahead of the Olympic & Paralympic Games in Paris this year. During my visit, I will host several FaceBook Live events, providing viewers with an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at one of the most hotly-contested para-dressage competitions in the United States. Keep a watchful eye on our social media pages for details regarding the dates and times of these events.

On Sunday, January 28th, Wheatland Farm will host our inaugural Schooling Jumper Show of 2024. The show presents an excellent opportunity for riders to prepare their horses for the upcoming show season. Registration for this show, as well as all of our upciming events, is now open on StriderPro.

In addition, we are delighted to announce that international dressage rider and trainer Ana Matos Pires will lead a two-day para dressage and dressage clinic on February 21-22. Renowned for her international success as an FEI Young Horse rider and trainer, Ana Pires brings a wealth of expertise. Originally from Portugal and now based in Germany, Ana has many years of experience riding for some of the top dressage barns in the world, including Schockemöhle and Hof Kasselmann. Not only has Ana achieved top championship finishes in the CDI Grand Prix arena, she has also trained and produced some of the top young horses in the world. In 2020, Ana rode and produced the legendary stallion ‘About You’ that sold for €1,650,000 when he was just four years old! This clinic is open to professional and amateur para-dressage and dressage riders. Auditors are also welcome. More information is available at https://www.striderpro.com/a/Gc24D5bw5E-zPv32emWa3w

Quarter three lessons begin February 5, and enrollment is already strong! We are also always in great need of volunteers. If you are interested in joining our wonderful group of lesson volunteers, please contact us today for more information at wheatlandfarmsecretary@gmail.com.
