Another great gala dinner!

Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of donors, Wheatland Farm families, volunteers, and staff, the 2022 Wheatland Farm gala dinner was an enormous success. Approximately 140 guests attended the event, hosted at the Forbes Five Star Salamander Resort in Middleburg.

Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner, a silent auction of custom-curated baskets generously donated by over fifty of Wheatland Farm's families, a live auction featuring a Bentley, a custom, hand-turned fountain pen, a trip to Napa, and much more! Wheatland Farm staff and students had the opportunity to share with guests the enormous progress made at the farm over the past decade in the form of a photo montage. Students of the Year Matthew and Michael Sadler impressed everyone with their poise and words of gratitude; teacher Becki Casey shared her pride in her students. Volunteer of the Year Patti Rasmussen handled her applause and her enormous vase of flowers with aplomb!

International Irish Tenor Mark Forrest delighted guests with a fifteen-minute Christmas set. He was joined by famed pianist John Paul Kaplan, who wowed the crows with his Christmas medley. By the end of the event, over $230,000 had been raised to benefit Wheatland Farm's programs for children and adults with disabilities, which was the event's goal.

We look forward to posting our 2023 date in the next few days and photos of the event by Nancy Kleck. Stay tuned!
